 Pro Bono Legal Service
Knowing
that pro bono legal service is the highest form of professionalism
among lawyers, Steve Nolan has dedicated a substantial amount of
his professional life to donating legal services to indigent clients.
His work to improve the statewide pro bono delivery system earned
Steve the following recognitions:
- April 2000 - Awarded Benjamin L. Cardin Pro Bono Service Award
from the Maryland Legal Services Corporation.
- December 1996 - Awarded Arthur W. Machen, Jr. Award from the
Maryland Legal Services Corporation.
- March 1996 - Received Award of the Maryland Bar Foundation for
Professional Legal Excellence for the Advancement of Rights of
the Disadvantaged.
Service to our Community
As the father of two daughters, Steve Nolan firmly believes that
lawyers must contribute our problem solving skills to improve the
quality of life in our communities. With that same intensity and
energy level that he devotes to his cases and trials, Steve has
worked on the following boards:
- 2002 - Chair-Elect, American Lung Association of Maryland, Inc.
(Board Member since 1999)
- 1997-98 President, Towson Development Corporation (Board service
began 1993)
- 1993-97 Member, Baltimore County Government Ethics Commission
